I'm not into OM system at the moment, but I have heard of battery differences.
I would be partial toward the OM-1 with longer battery life, especially if
upgrading.
And the viewfinder: 5.76M-dot OLED (0.82x) vs 2.36M-dot OLED (0.74x)
I'm partial to viewfinders.

Just knowing the E-m1 has an issue is going to be a distraction.
Is the focus issue a camera or lens issue? Was one of these lenses in the
tumble?
If camera then something is intermittent with the electronics, or the lens
contacts,
while the lens has more potential mechanical damage.
I would guess the weakest point in a tumble would be at the lens mount.
And intermittent focus issue possibly dependent on how the lens is
held/supported?
Is it more likely with the bigger lens attached? (ie. more stress on the mount?)
If the lens mount is weakened, it can only get worse and potentially fail,
usually
at the worst time - says engineer Murphy.
