I had conversed with Bob prior to our trip and they had stayed at a B&B near Fionnphort and I believe he said the owner had arranged a trip out to Staffa. However as you know Fionnphort is a long way from anywhere. We ended up booking The Old Mill near Torliosk for a week. More centrally located. We did day trips from there including a day on Iona. Bob had said it was a 'must see'. Glad we did and were wishing we could have spent the night. The view is from Dùn I looking north. The highest point of the island. (above and to the right of the monastery). I was the old name for Iona. We didn't have time to walk to the south end.
