I think if you set f stop so your auto shutter speed is 1/30, and fire on ttl 
flash, you get one stop of fill from the flash (raising shutter speed to 1/60). 
 Each smaller f stop will give that much more fill from flash.  2/2N will both 
do this (I think). Regarding the 2S:  another difference in some 2S, is that 
some bodies have a top cover with a "raised" pentaprism hump.  When a circuit 
was replaced by Olympus USA, a modified replacement top was installed, with a 
prism hump extended by 0.5mm.  This was to prevent cracking of the main circuit 
IC(s) as the top was pressed down.  Old top side wall = 1mm, new top =1.5mm.

Please elaborate.  Did not the plain 2 fill in with ambient if the flash was 
insufficient?  I think the 2n could be forced to do that.  Both protocols have 
their advantages.
