Thanks, Wayne.  My service ( power and fiber optic) was restored the 
next day.  The Spectrum service is still hanging by the signal cable and 
is probably working until the unsupported weight breaks it.  They don't 
seem to care that a simple fix can save them a lot of cable splicing 
when it falls.
