Thanks Jez.

I have no access to his computer as he lives 1000 km from me and we have those
covid restrictions …
So I DK about his sidecars right now.

Note to self : check on the xmp files he might have.

Previous saved catalogs = backups alright :-)

Saving, saving, and saving again : that’s what I wrote to him before I typed my
original message here - optimize catalog, run TimeMachine, and backup (RAW/DNG)
files if any external HD is available.

Importing catalogs - thanks !

I hadn’t thought it would not re-import files already present in a « new »
current catalog.
Wouldn’t this rather imply that he’d need to start with the older files, and
progressively reimport the next ones to finally get to his right now current
one, or am I mistaken?

Thanks again

Amities

Philippe
