Coming in late but still time to get things under control. I know that several of you are happy users of the Adobe Library that comes with a subscription but I'm not on that bus :) Looking at other options. Thinking about digiKam or maybe the database that ships with DxO or ??. digiKam  is a stand-alone so not dependent on a subscription/renewal so leaning in that direction.

Anyone out there using digiKam? I have a couple of questions.

--First of all It is asking me for a place to store the database files. I have a small SSD that would be perfect but wonder how big these files get? There is about 40gigs free. I have way less than 100k photos to catalogue. Can't imagine it growing to more than that but who knows?? --Secondly would this be redundant with a DxO Library? Digikam seems more full-featured but maybe overkill.

Thoughts? Options? Any other options I should consider?
