A buy alert.
The Samsung T5 1TB external SSD drive is on sale right now for $139.99
here in the USA at various outlets (Best Buy, Amazon, etc.,).
Just wanted to pass that on. I've been waiting patiently for it to go on sale.
Also, Best Buy has the WD - Easystore 5TB External USB 3.0 Portable
Hard Drive on sale again this week for $89.99. I purchased one of
these a couple weeks ago when they dropped down to this price. It's an
amazing price for 5TB of storage. It performs well. Not the fastest
drive around, but it is significantly faster than the Seagate shingle
drives, which are quick for small read/writes, but bog down with large
amounts of writes.
The Easystore is essentially a low-cost Passport with the native
security wall removed. It's rumored that WD is stuffing them with
their Red drives.
