The OMZ 35/2 is a lens that absolutely shines with subjects in the 2-3
meter range. The background separation, bokeh, and subject
"wrap-around" characteristic are something that makes this lens
special. Even when stopped down, there is progressive blurring either
side of the plane of focus.

The OMZ 28/2 is almost entirely the opposite. While it maintains good
subject edge separation, the lens has a deep depth of field and
maintains minimal defocus progression which keeps the entire picture
sharper than it would normally be.

I totally love both lenses, but they are completely different lenses.
I can do portraiture with the 35/2.

BTW, my 35/2 is a Silvernose lens, of course. :)
