No tripod was injured during that trip ;-)
I always shoot on the fly.
The cool thing with modern cameras is you may display an artifical horizon in
the VF, even in portrait mode. Choose the line you want to follow in the
landscape before shooting, and then try to swing your body (or rotate your
feet) in a consistent manner. Done.
I usually shoot in (high speed) bursts while moving as smoothly as my joints
and spine will allow.
A 20 frames pano covering 180° usually takes a couple of secs to shoot in all.
Back home, LR CCC does the rest while I’m having coffee ;-)
