We have coyotes and foxes and possums and raccoons and hawks but we haven't
lost any chickens to them since we got our German Shepherd. She keeps a
close watch on predators but does not allow anything to harm the chickens,
ducks, geese, guineas or peacocks. She grew up with our birds and knows
not to hurt them. The cats keep a close watch out for rats and voles but
never attack baby chicks. I think we have been lucky!
