2nd element from the rear was made with glass that  outgasses something that appears as a white frost.  cannot be fixed, all replacements are gone and even the replacements had the problem.

Andrew Fildes had an 8mm with the problem though I recall it was a problem
with the coating on the rear element becoming degraded. I think Andrew had
the rear element polished and maybe re-coated ? I also seem to recall at
the time that John Hermanson had spare front elements but no rear elements.

I wonder if there are any of those without the separated element problem.
Did someone here fix that on one; separate, clean, re-cement?

35 F2 and the great whites and works on all AF zoom
Terse has become inscrutable ". . . and works on all AF zoom"

My 35/2 is definitely not "user", and I'm not ready . . .

There are Great Whites off the coast not far, but none here.
