Actually, the 60mm macro lens has a working distance of a 60mm lens (apart
from the internal focussing aspects of FL shortening at macro
magnifications). The magnification (fov) is determined by the crop of the
image (circle).

On the lens barrel of the 60mm it says "1:1 - 19cm (7,5")", "1:4 - 34cm",
"1: 8 - 57mm".

The OM 90mm macro reaches 1:2 at 40cm. Used on a m43 camera, that would be
1:1.

The OM 50mm macro's reach 1:2 at 23-24cm. Not very much apart from where I
expect the 60mm to reach 1:2 (you notice from the barrel text that it is
not a lineair relationship between magnification and working distance)..

So for significant work distance, indeed use your longer OM macro's. The
135mm on the macro extension tube gives you 1:2 at 60cm btw. However it is
rather clumsy in use I think, not the most convenient for moving objects.

And the 60mm macro could be the higher resolution lens, of course, due to
better (more modern) optics.
