In Peter May's most excellent Lewis Trilogy--
Robin read the series while we were there. In fact she finished 'Black
House' while staying in the black house on Lewis. Left the book there
for the next tenants. Also enjoyed Robert Macfarlane's books especially
'The Old Ways' and 'The Wild Places'.
As a collector of books not typically available on kindle I was
disappointed by the dearth of antiquarian bookshops. According to shop
owners ABE and amazon have killed the trade in Scotland. Independent
booksellers both new and used are doing fine in this part of the world
so I was a bit surprised. Apparently one has to frequent the boot sales now.
