My dad remembered it as well. The church steeple in Keene, NH was knocked
over and fell through the roof into the choir loft. I have a book about that
hurricane ("Sudden Sea: The Great Hurricane of 1938" by R.A. Scotti) somewhere
around here, probably boxed up for all I know.
