Yes.  Makes dimming problematic and expensive. It limits the dimmable 
range.  Most LED's sold around here are branded as "dimmable" and so 
more expensive. I guess to make them idiot proof. I've been getting the 
ones from Costco but wish I could get the plain non-dimmable variety.
