Isn't it wonderful how the English Language has stalled in some places
of the world and still holds onto ancient terms? :)

I just removed my old headlight system from my MTB this week. The
battery pack died and I was going to have to build a new one for it,,
so that is part of the equation for my getting the new flashlight. The
old one had two lights to it. The low-beam was as bright as pretty
much everybody's high-beam, and the high-beam was a 55 watt
Halogen--if memory serves me. I've got a nifty velcro mounting system
for me to mount just about anything, including my flashlight, to the
handlebar stem.

The old light system was fantastic because it really didn't have much
of a hot spot. I used to do a lot of riding in the dark, including
trail riding through the woods, and that light was invaluable.
