Ummmm... No. Came across that knowledge by way of comments about using
whalebone for the stays, and that was by way of reading about 19th century
whaling under sail.

I try hard not to remember some of the more bizarre characters that I met,
such as alcoholics. Didn't encounter anyone having gender identification
problems. Back then they would have been discharged without hesitation.
