Mike, et. Al-
We plan to fly in Seattle on Saturday the 15th and leave the next Saturday or
Sunday. We will have a rental car.
We're more into history and scenery more than wildlife or night life.
Ghost towns and old cemeteries would be high on the list, especially ghost
towns with old cemeteries.
Plus trains and airplanes. We will probably visit the Northwest Railroad museum
and the Boeing factory.
I'd like to do some kayaking but my wife is not too keen on it.
Tentatively we were planning on catching a ferry to Canada when we arrived.
Then spend a day or so there and head back. We have no idea what to do or see
once we get there. It's kind of a "we are so close we might as well" kind of
thing.
We don't need to stay within the city limits, just somewhere in the area. Being
from Texas we are used to driving fairly long distances.

Thanks,
Steve Goss

Can't help much with Seattle. As simple country folk we avoid it as much as
possible except for the pollution and light in the sky which we are stuck with.
:-) The traffic sucks big time. I might add Pike Street Market to the above
recommendations. Haven't been there in tens of years but hear it is still worth
a visit. And of course Paul Allen's R&R museum if interested in that sort of
thing. Never been there myself.
Parking sucks.

However I could possibly be of assistance regarding the surrounding area. First
I need some more info. How many days? Will you have a car?
What do you like? Scenery? History? Wildlife? You mentioned Canada?
??? How far do you want to drive?

Mike
