Sorry. I thought this was obvious, so just let the thread go nattering on without commenting. You have to be responsible for your own photographic equipment knowledge at least some of the time. :-)

Think about it. Does any program do pano stitching directly with Raw? Sounds really tricky to get the RGGB pixels lined up, compared to lining up individual RGB pixels. PS certainly doesn't. It requires Raw input files to be saved in a converted format before working on them.

You are certainly not going to find a camera that does it directly on Raw files, unless/until their processors become much more powerful in the future. Even then, do you want the camera processor baking in it's decisions for you? PS creates masked levels for each input file, so one may correct its decisions as necessary.

I have, and have had, several cameras with built-in pano capability, but have thought of it as another silly selling point, compared to post processed panos. Likewise, some camera or other recently added the ability to clone out unwanted things, but with shoddy results and JPEG only.
