And the authors even apologise for using the term themselves :
"Current values for “exposure adjustment”; buttons for
increasing/decreasing exposure adjustment (it is of course just linear
intensity adjustment; exposure can’t be adjusted after the fact – but we
follow the “conventional” name here)
