Sources? This is an hypothesis.  There isn't enough data on it one way 
or the other. It seems a fair statement on its face but there is plenty 
of evidence of contaminated ground water. So the real question is, "Can 
the oil companies be trusted to frack in a way such that the ground 
water is protected?". At this point in time the answer is clearly a 
resounding, No! They have been dragging their feet, kicking and 
screaming just to divulge the chemicals injected into the wells. Kinda 
makes meaningful unbiased science difficult.
