About the only time I've had consistently decent results from hitting the Auto
button in LR (any version, including 5) is when processing iPhone photos. The
rest of the time, Auto pretty much stinks. For me, it tends to render the image
far too bright, so much so that correcting it is easier by undoing and just
using the various sliders.
