Hollerith founded the Tabulating Machine Company which was eventually 
rolled into The Computing Tabulating Recording Company which eventually 
was renamed IBM in 1924.  The CTR building is still there in Endicott, 
NY a couple miles away from me.  Of course, you can't actually see it 
since it has been incorporated into the massive structure of buildings 
that used to house 10,000 IBM folks in the 80s.  Used to.  They're 
mostly empty today.
