As a father of two teenage daughters, I'm going to suggest that there
really is nothing that can prepare a person to this task. Mine are
near perfect over-achieving angels, and I'm still totally flying by
the seat of my pants. Obviously, I've make a few mistakes along the
way, but overall, I'd say that their mother saves my bacon most days.
I look at our problems and am very thankful that they are pretty minor
compared to most people's problems. Granted, we've had two HUGE
doozies lately, but even at that, we're leaning on the strength of our
faith, the marriage and family unit to make it through.
Next week is college tour week. We're kinda struggling with this whole
concept of them growing up and moving out. It's too soon.
