I can't say that I've noticed either way. I guess I don't expect web
images to reveal matters of essence like that, so I don't notice it. I can
see the appeal in the layout of the X-E1. The images don't look better or
worse than the OM-D from all I can tell. I haven't yet seen anyone around
here show the mojo of the Fuji as Moose has shown it for the OM-D. Just a
matter of time, I'm sure. In any case, what's not to like?

Except -- I enjoy capturing digits on a FF sensor with my Zuikos. I think
the shadows are fine, but I wouldn't stress over it anyway. I get the
flavor of the Zuikos, which nothing else provides, however good it may be.

I wonder whether it would be even better with 5DmkII or 6D. There is
something like the deferred gratification of film with the 5D, since you
don't really get complete satisfaction from the 5D's LCD. This seems
somewhat appropriate for shooting with film lenses. It's a fault. I don't
want to make a virtue out of it, but it is working out for me, at least.

I was out the past few days with the 135/4.5, which is more or less
permanently on the auto tube 65-116. This lens has always been a pleasure
to use, but it is a little bit hard for me to focus it since the lens is so
slow. With the Big_IS chipped adapter I can just put the focus exactly
where I want it. I might like just a bit more consistency of exposure from
one stop to another, but that's a fault which is extremely easy for me to
correct.
