Well, no system is immune. Lately the US has added a large nutter 
contingent. Especially in the House. I see it as a symptom of something. 
Voter's eyes are glazing over. Maybe because things like complex macro 
economic ideas are hard to reconcile with fundamentalist religious and 
social dogma??
