Decrying Chuck's alleged 'universal solution' is neither worser nor more
better (!) than your assertion that his circumstances are unique! But you no
doubt made the point that way on purpose, no?

I can't speak for Chuck's vision, nor any aspect of the performance of a 5D
or an E-M5, but I can speak for the ease (or not) of using manual focus
lenses on E-1/3/5/330/420/450/510, with and without focus confirmation. My
experience echoes Chuck's.

I'm going to channel Moose here. For you and your unique circumstances,
going the route you did was the best approach. Claiming it to be the
universal solution or preference is problematic. Just as it would be if I
claimed universality for my methods and preferences. This is why I'm doing a
little pushback in regards to this current love affair with all things E-M5.
