There's someone somewhere that is doing refurbs on turbo commanders, and
making them into highly desirable transportation. they have a problem common
with some other aircraft- if the place of the prop blades is in line with
the cabin, it gets noisy really really fast.

That makes a lot of sense. The 340 is very good for the short,
regional runs. Radar is a must have in that area, too, as storms are
almost always embedded.

The Commanders made great planes for executive transport as well as
cargo. They were well known to be pilot's airplanes and many were
owner-pilot flown. Their rough-field handling and ability to be
severely overloaded made them great planes for illegal operations and
many saw unfortunate demise as a result. From what I can tell, most of
the flyable ones are in being flown where wing-spar inspections aren't
so required. There was a charter flight service based here in Iowa
that had a nice fleet of them for hauling entertainers around all over
the country. A retired pilot was in our church and we talked about
that plane a lot and he absolutely loved that plane, but mostly flew
the turbine variety.

Your interior shot shows one side panel that looks a little bit off. I
expect that you'll fix that in post. ;)
