Hi Chuck,

If you are referring to the small solid wires that connect to the fuse, they 
are not structural parts, just copper conductors.  They are working at main 
line voltage, which I have no knowledge of, but would suspect it is between 
6 and 13kV, hence the current is rather small.  When you are wearing gloves 
and making connections HOT, you have little interest artistic appearances.
