Fernando's order of words is due to that used in many other languages, Chuck,
and it is how it used to be in older English. For me "did" is an unnecessary
auxiliary verb, but it does add emphasis (see what I did there ;-)).
But I don't like the use of abbreviations such as "afaik" or "btw" in normal
email text. It should remain where it's needed, in SMS messages.
