+I completely agree. I think mickeysoft didn't look at the history of
touch screen on the desktop. HP came out with a desktop touch screen
many years ago, it didn't last long. The only hope for Win8 I can see
is if someone comes out with a video based keyboard. Switchable between
   keyboard and second monitor. IMO

That's exactly why I bought a refurbished Win 7 system. Win 8... ain't
gonna go there. I'll not be surprised if Win 8 is a big bust for
Microsoft based on rejection of the user interface. I figured if Win 8
is about to go out the door then Win 7 is about as stable as it's going
to get. Who knows, maybe PhotoShop will be running on Linux by the time
Win 7 gets put out to pasture. I think it will be around at least
another 10 years just like XP.

And you did all of this the same week that Win 8 was released???

Personally, I don't think I could ever convert to the Win 8 interface.

I finally moved to Win 7 this past week and so have been now able to
install my copy of LR4. However, I think it will probably take me
around 3 years to get around to using it. I've been totally engaged
this past week in trying to get the Win 7 machine up to speed
applications wise and still have a very long way to go. But at least it
now does local networking, internet browsing, hard drive cloning with

(recommended for Winders users), email, PhotoShop and Lightroom and a
few other essential apps. Only several hundred more to go. :-)

Exactomundo. And the clarity slider in Lightroom 4 is vastly improved

I believe that "clarity" in PhotoShop is the equivalent of Local
