I've been there many times. Wonderful photo opportunities! I do see the
blue cast in your scan, too. Still working on a solution here. My
favorite market in Guatemala is in Palin under a huge ceiba tree:

I'm so sorry your slides were lost! That would be a nightmare and another
reason to get everything scanned and stored in two or three places!
