Nikon is like that too, they refuse to service gray-market stuff, even for
paying customers. I don't get why they do that, why not charge them for
the repair and make the money? Besides, some non-USA stuff was bought
overseas by immigrants before they came here, and by Americans who lived
abroad for a time. Sounds like ignorant corporate pride. (I'm not aiming
that remark at you, John, I understand you just work there, you didn't
make the policy)
