Agreed!!! Honestly, I'm suprised I was able to father children after
that happened to me. Almost busted one in two.

I stayed with traditional toe-clips for a really really long time.
Long after they were no longer cool. Going clipless has been a mixed
blessing. It's nice not having the inverted clips dragging on the
ground when I'm running free, but with clipless there is no running
free-footed.

I bought a pair of mountain biking shoes. Those have been terrific as
the cleats are pretty well tucked up so they don't click click click
click when you walk across the floor. The stiff sole is always going
to be a hinderance to comfortable walking, though.

Thanks for bringing up the subject of cranks. I really need to get new
cranks and chain rings for my mountain bike. It's actually the last
set of parts not replaced on this one. (yeah, it's pretty tricked out
with titanium bits everywhere--anything not aluminum is titanium).
