My 50 Summicron-R is, as I understand it, one of the later models with the 
built-in hood.  The inscription on the front is "Summicron-R 1:2/50   Leitz 
Canada 2890592", which takes an E55 filter.  I bought it as a KEH BGN lens, 
and the exterior shows wear, but the glass appears good to my old eyes.

I bought a 60mm Macro soon after I bought the 50, and found it to be a great 
lens, so the 50 got pushed aside for a couple of years.  After trying to 
sell the 50, with no success, I decided to try it on the E-1, and it seems a 
great match.  I am enjoying using it.

I also noticed the 3D appearance, but thought it might just be my old eyes.
