These days I carry only the camera and a single zoom.  Everything else 
is in the car which is usually not far away.  If I do have to venture 
far then the lens of choice (since there will be only one) is the Tamron 
24-135 which gives good general purpose coverage.  But I will choose the 
Tamron 20-40 if I expect everything will be in relatively close quarters 
or wide field landscapes.  The rock heavy f/2.8 Tokinas are reserved for 
low light work.
