Handbrake was suggested as a likely candidate by Mark Dapoz
and specifically the nightly build here since it tends to have the new
goodies and is fairly stable.

I've downloaded it but that's as far as I've gotten. For the moment
there's too much to be done here in the new place in Florida. I also
spent most of yesterday on an unplanned trip to Fort Myers to meet a
very old friend for dinner. The last I heard of him a friend of his
told me he was in a hospital in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho with severe brain
damage after falling down a flight of stairs. He wasn't expected to
live. That was about 6 months ago and I never heard any more. I
assumed he had probably died. Much to my surprise I received a late
email Christmas card from him. It turned out he was in the hospital for
2-1/2 months and has been staying with his sister who normally lives in
Michigan. But until today they were in Fort Myers at her winter place
which I had no prior knowledge of. I had only yesterday to meet with
him before he flew out today. He may be back in March and we'll meet
again if he is.

Anyhow, that's what my day was like yesterday. Dinner was good too! :-)
