That's right! Why, in some communities, you can't even find a Wendys, whereas
other communities have yet to get a Taco Bell!
The official and unofficial US stance on cultural diversity has been "The Great
Melting Pot" -- in other words, it is not really tolerated.
Oh sure, you'll see your quaint little ethnic festival here and there, but then
everyone goes home to their TV set for their multi-hour daily dose of
self-inflicted cultural indoctrination.
