Hi Chuck,

You need to download a program called Wine.  It works extremely well under it,
although I havent really grasped Wine...me thinks there is a bug in the version
I downloaded.

I was expecting degradation of performance, but was pleasantly surprised that
it does not run slower unlike the Virtual PC program I ran on my Mac years
ago.  VPC slowed the computer quiet a bit.

Interesting that I "inherited" my laptop from wife and kid who were fed up with
it, coz it didnt work right after only half an year of use.  I got it and
installed Ubuntu distribution package.  Didnt bother to set it up as a double
boot, because as I mentioned before, it never worked right under Windoz.  What
a difference this move made...it never crashed and it is pretty fast

Ubuntu has a "Software Center" menu under the Applications tab.  Thats where I
got Wine from.  There are other distributions, but I choose it, because of its
support.

I dont know which version of PS you have, I am still stuck on CS2.  I found the
current version of GIMP more featured than CS2 and in my opinion, both programs
are very similar.  The learning curve is almost non-existent.

Best

Boris
