My 5D II do have two small metal clamps on left and right sides. The 5D
mirror off problem seems rather popular, many used 5Ds selling locally said
to have mirror clamps added.

This kind of problem is not new to me, the mirror on my brand new M*nolta
600si came off within a month, I fixed it myself but unfortunately scratched
the focusing screen during cleaning up the mirror box, it costed me over $50
for a replacement. On the other hand I owned over 10 OMs and never seen one
had this problem.
