Upgrade to a video card that supports DVI. They are cheap and plentiful. 
You will notice the difference.

Faststone: Settings>>Viewer On the right side "Auto Image size" select 
appropriate in dropdown

CH, this monitor reputedly shares the same screen as the Dell. Price may 
or may not be better.
