Actually, at 100% veiw, I see pattern noise even without boost (no +/- 
compensation on RAW converter). If you don't see the pattern noise (on the 
smoky sky) at +1 your monitor is too dark, just try +2 you must be able to 
see it.

I have not try to print it but it should be visible on the brighter area.

macbook screen which is maybe too dark). Is the pattern visible when
