Although the batteries are certainly good you are getting fast recycling
times because you're not actually using much light. If the whole flash
charge has to dump you'll have to wait 6 seconds (according to the spec)
and probably a couple seconds longer than that if you want to be sure
the flash is really fully charged (all flash ready lights lie)
