My son went on one of those life-altering high school trips abroad to
Spain in March. To take our daughter's mind off The Unfairness of
Life, and also to get out of town ourselves, we spent a lovely weekend
in Omaha, Nebraska, hanging out around the near north downtown area
and eventually spending a day at the zoo. I'm putting together
several galleries from the trip -- these aren't fine art -- and the
first is from our Sunday afternoon stroll around the "Old Market" area
-- older buildings gentrified and made suitable for restaurants and
other small businesses. The weather was wonderful -- the first
warmish weekend of the late winter/early spring. Lots of good cheer
as it was so enjoyable to be out and about.
