You went out of your way to give an extensive answer. I feel I will be
more welcome than I thought, even getting invitations like that. Reading
your story about way back then makes me think that maybe the press
exagerates all problems just for the sake of the message. Not that bad
news does not exist, but they can make it sound even worse.
Thanks very much for the invitewe might actually have the opportunity to
meet as we will indeed visit SF too. Staying over at your place will not
be neccesary though, as for that part of the trip we will be travelling
by RV. Som guidance as to the places to visit might be very helpfull
though. I will mail the travel plans shortly.
You are absolutely right that businesses have had to close before the
recession also. Of course it is the same over here. Unemployment is up,
although luckily not as much as in most of the US or Spain as Nathan
pointed out. To the people still at work it does not do much harm most
of the time. We just have to count our blessings for still having a job
;-)
