You think that's loud.  You should have been on one when they pulled out on 
the end of the runway, locked the brakes and set power for takeoff.  And 
then they kicked the brakes loose and it was 0 to 160 in something like 8 
seconds.  Could really get that monster moving in a hurry.  A standard 
mission on that thing was 24 hours, and then the aircraft commander would 
decide that the copilot need a couple of hours of touch and go landings.  I 
flew on them as an inflight bombing navigation system maintenance 
technician.  Non crewmember status.  My takeoff position was strapped into a 
bunk in the rear of the aircraft.
