[OM] Question OM interval timer to Evolt 300

I have an E-300 with no interval timer. I have an OM interval timer that 
connects to Winder I or II with a 2 conductor bayonet connector.  Could 
I make an adapter and use the OM timer on the E-300?

If so then which of the 3 conductors on the E-300 should I use?

I'm hoping it's just a make or break on the continuity.
