Olafo,

You might try going up to the Skagit Valley to view the tulip fields.
Due to our record cold spring this year the bloom is at least 2 weeks
late and so there may still be quite a bit of color the first week of
May. Quite nice with the snow capped peaks as a backdrop. However they
may have topped the flowers by then so check first.
<http://www.tulipfestival.org/> Close by visit LaConner, Deception Pass
bridge and Fir Island for migrating birds. Of course you can take a
ferry ride out here to the islands. Vancouver is a pretty long drive
from Seattle plus add more time at the border. Mt Rainier is buried in
many, many meters of snow and is best viewed from a distance. Weather
permitting, a trip to the Mt Baker ski area is more scenic. They had
more than 5 meters at the lodge last I heard and is well worth the drive
on a clear day. Snoqualmie Pass isn't too scenic IMHO but Snoqualmie
Falls are worth a look.

Shop for camera gear at B&H and ship to your sister.

Mike
