Clocks, scales and punch card tabulating equipment starting with the
Hollerith machines used to count the 1890 census. The history starts

although the name "International Business Machines" didn't appear until
1924. Previously known as C-T-R or Computing, Tabulating & Time
Recording Company. The original factory building is a couple of miles
from where I sit. But you can't see it since it has been since
surrounded by hundreds of thousands of square feet of additional lab and
manufacturing space... much of it sadly sitting empty these days.
OS/2 died although some would insist it's still in the ether somewhere
on life support. Here's my only remaining attachment.
