My original post had it as a 40. and it should have read 40.5 mm.   I'll be 
search out a filter or two in the near future.  It has been a bit  of a flash 
back walking around with a Gossen Sixtino 2 meter and this old  rangefinder.  
How do you say 1950's? 1960's?  I'm comfortable with  sunny f16 however was 
trying to see how accurate this camera was before I sent  it off for some CLA 
magic.  Using a manual camera with no meter and your  experience or maybe just 
sunny f16 can be a rather affirming experience for  a photographer.  We all 
would hope it would affirm our understanding of  photography and not just 
confirm 
the latitude of the film we are  using. <[B^)  Bill Barber

40.5 is  a common size for things Russian and even my Minolta 28mm M  
mount  lens uses that size.
